Business Development Manager (Part-Time, 20—25 hours a week)
We are seeking an energetic part-time Business Development Manager to think outside of the box to expand our network of customers and partners. This role will work flexibly and strategically to innovate on how iThrive identifies, cultivates, and brings in new business, to sell iThrive's products and design services, and expand our network of collaborators and users.
Location: This is a remote position with anticipated travel at 20%. Candidates should be located in the Eastern Time Zone (Greater Boston, DC Metro, NY Metro preferred).
Salary: $44,000 - $54,000
Benefits: A flexible work environment and a 401K match for qualifying employees. Employees receive an average of 18 paid holidays. This position receives 8 days of paid time off.

The business development manager will envision, execute, and fine-tune a sales strategy in cooperation with iThrive's senior leadership to grow our network, cultivate new customers, and identify new business opportunities. The business development manager will also work in close collaboration with the Director of Foundation Relations and Corporate Partnerships to help to grow iThrive's current $1.5M operating budget to $2M annually, and to $5M+ over the next three years. In this role, you will identify and help close five- to seven-figure opportunities by maintaining a pipeline of clients, nurturing relationships with iThrive's existing partners, extending iThrive's partnerships in service of strategic growth to accelerate the spread of our offerings, and leading outreach to key decision makers to co-create new offerings. Growth will be driven through relationship building and new client focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Envision, pitch, and execute a sales strategy for bringing in new business and revenue
- Research partners, identify key players, and promote iThrive's offerings and services to generate new business opportunities and distribution partners
- Identify and originate opportunities for partners and customers through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails, conference attendance, and partner visits
- Identify and build out audience sectors for new business development opportunities
- Recommend strategies to package and expand upon current offerings
- Serve as the client lead and liaison between partners, customers, and the team
- Innovate new ways to grow/expand current partnerships
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous working experience as a business development manager or in partnership development (at least 3 years, preferably in the games industry or an edtech field)
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or similar relevant field
- Proven experience closing six- to seven-figure business opportunities
- Experience developing and tracking KPIs for new business growth
- Outstanding communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal/relationship skills
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- A flexible thinker who can innovate within iThrive's existing strategic priorities and identify new fruitful directions
- Self-motivated closer
- Proven networking aptitude and genuine interest and ability to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with others, regardless of position/level of authority
- Ability to collaborate with team members to manage/maintain and track multiple relationships and projects at once
- Ability to pay keen attention to details (e.g. in communications, agreements, message congruence, etc.
