ENGAGING INTELLECT AND EMOTIONS, THROUGH PLAY

In this role-playing simulation, students play critical roles during a constitutional crisis. They may be a government official, a reporter, a resident, or law enforcement. Across the Constitutional Crisis learning unit, students interact with technology and each other to learn civics through the lens of decision-making. Game play invites them to work with and expand on their knowledge of the U.S. Constitution, build their information and media literacy, apply and stretch their social and emotional skills of critical thinking, interpersonal communication, and self-reflection.
